Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the main Children’s Health Defense organization?
No, this is the Nebraska Chapter, one of the State Chapters of Children’s Health Defense. State chapters focus on state-specific issues and advocacy. Go to Children’s Health Defense National if you are looking for the parent organization.
Is Children’s Health Defense associated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?
Yes. He is the Founder, and former Chief Legal Counsel and Chair, of Children’s Health Defense.
How can I become involved?
The first step is to connect with us via our contact form. Thereafter, you’ll receive information on upcoming activities such as social events where we gather to meet and greet each other, outings to connect children and let them play/socialize, information-sharing events through public witness, etc. If you have specific skills (computer, social media, marketing, etc.) the sky is the limit for participation so let us know your interests when you fill out the contact form.
What if I’m from another state/don’t live in Nebraska?
A list of state chapters can be viewed on the national Children’s Health Defense website. Use the menu in the upper left corner and connect with any chapter in your area. More chapters are forming so the list continues to expand. We are not aware of any CHD chapters in states that border Nebraska – those with an interest should connect with us, especially if from Iowa or Kansas as many of our events are within a reasonable distance in Omaha or Lincoln, NE.
What can you tell me about COVID vaccine exemptions in Nebraska?
The Nebraska Unicameral overwhelmingly voted (35 yes to 7 no) to approve a COVID vaccine exemption in late February 2022. Governor Ricketts signed the bill, which allows exemptions for medical or religious reasons. The exemption form, which can be filled out in a matter of seconds, is available on the Department of Health and Human services website here.
