CHD Nebraska Sends 2 Reps to 1st Ever CHD National Conference
Summary and Reflections on the Oct 23-24, 2022 CHD National Conference
It was well-worth the 14-hour drive from Nebraska to Tennessee to be with 800+ CHD supporters at the Knoxville Convention Center! The excitement there reinforced what we believe to be a reason for cautious optimism—a far cry from how we felt last November upon learning that Dr. Paul Marik resigned from Eastern Virginia Medical School due to restrictions on life-saving treatments. Listening to Drs. Marik, Kory, Malone and others speak at the conference, it is obvious challenges continue, but there are many reasons the world seems just a little brighter. One of them is that growing numbers of people have found “their people” in the barricades!
Attending the conference presentations, we met CHD representatives from Canada, Hawaii, and New York and learned about International chapters in Africa, and new ones forming in Iceland, Ireland, and Latin America. The chapters are working on growing and organizing the CHD base and advocating for and/or preventing various legislative bills. These efforts were recognized by RFK Jr. and the CHD staff as critical work. Kennedy stated “It’s a privilege to be in the foxhole with all these amazing people who are enlightened, who are motivated to do the right thing. We found a brotherhood and a sisterhood in this issue because it’s the biggest issue.”
To address the attacks on medical freedom, CHD presented public policy goals. These include, but are not limited to STOPPING the following:
- Liability protections for pharmaceutical companies
- Private money for inside regulators
- WHO treaty and IHR amendments
- Unending states of emergency
- Forced medical care, including vaccine mandates
- Discrimination based on vaccine status
- Censorship and government-sponsored propaganda
- Bioweapons research and development
- Medical advertising to children
- Digital IDs
Developing new public policies is no small task, but as CHD’s Mary Holland pointed out: “The truth is on our side, the science is on our side, the ethics are on our side, and the law is on our side.” An increasing number of people are becoming aware and pushing back. CHD is working hard to make sure this happens via “The Real Anthony Fauci” documentary (shown at the conference), CHD reports and ebooks including RFK Jr.’s A Letter to Liberals, “Vax-Unvaxx: Let the Science Speak” book by Hooker and Kennedy due April 2023, and recent lawsuits!
The CHD legal team shared current cases and successes. Rolf Hazelhurts, senior CHD attorney, discussed the process by which he stopped the Minor Consent for Vaccination Law in Washington DC. Among other things he shared a child’s drawing that was transformative, playing a pivotal role in the case.
Such powerful imagery and other art forms have started to take on a more a significant role in the cause. CHD presented music by Joydah Mae called “Hands Off Our Children” and “Silent War” by Five Times August, which was featured in the conference’s Chapter Recognition video (which includes photos from some Nebraska events!). While the truth, science, ethics, and law are on our side, tapping into emotions via music and art reaches people on another level. Never underestimate the power of such connections and planting seeds of truth.
CHD is already busy planning a bigger conference in 2023 (they exceeded the capacity in TN!). We hope the 2023 conference is closer to our NE chapter and to connect with you there.
